Win a year of free pizza!

Fresh pizza-lovers in Colorado are also invited to join in the fun socially with @LiveBasilPizza on Instagram for a chance to win FREE Live Basil Pizza for a year. In conjunction with its FREE Fresh Pizza Day, guests who stop by Live Basil on May 8 are encouraged to take a creative photo of their free pizza and upload to Instagram with the hashtags #LiveBasilPizza and #FreshestEver. One lucky winner will be selected to win FREE Live Basil Pizza for a year, with the winner announced on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on May 9. “We want to change the way Americans think about pizza, so we have adapted parts of the traditional Neapolitan pizza experience so guests can get that fresh, made-to-order pizza in 6 minutes or less,” said Chef Andrew Selvaggio, Chief Culinary Officer at Live Basil Pizza. “It’s the way Americans want to eat today. They want to be able to pick and choose from a variety of fresh, natural toppings and see it all made right before their eyes.” In lieu of paying for their free pizza on May 8, Live Basil is encouraging guests to consider donating to local non-profit organization Jessie’s Homes for Families during its FREE Fresh Pizza Day. All five Denver Live Basil Pizza locations will be collecting donations in-store on May 8, in addition to matching total donations made to the organization at its restaurants that day. For more information or to donate online, please visit www.jessieshomesforfamilies.org. “Our FREE Fresh Pizza Day is our way of treating our guests to a new and better way to enjoy traditional Neapolitan pizza, while giving back to our local Denver community through Jessie’s Homes for Families,” commented Jason Dowd, Executive Chef at Live Basil Pizza. “We look forward to seeing our regular customers and new faces as we introduce them to our pizzas made from authentic, natural and organic ingredients, challenging them to enjoy a better way to enjoy fresh pizza.” In keeping with the Neapolitan tradition, a combination of authentic, natural, imported and organic ingredients are used on Live Basil’s pizza pies. Imported organic San Marzano tomatoes make up the restaurant’s signature red sauce. Fresh, shredded mozzarella, aged provolone, goat or ricotta cheese and a variety of all-natural meats serve as choices for toppings. And in a nod to its namesake, basil plants are grown inside the restaurant so that the leaves can be picked and placed on top of each pizza that calls for it right before serving. Guests can watch as their pie is carefully tailored to their liking and cooked in a state of the art, 650 degree open flame hearth oven and ready in only 150 seconds, allowing for a five minute turnaround time between when the guest creates their pizza to the time it is delivered to their table. Each market also has a locally-inspired pizza that can only be found at restaurants in that region. At Colorado locations, Live Basil Pizza features the Rocky Mountain with traditional crust, red sauce, fresh mozzarella, green chilies, bacon and onions.
