DIA Voted Best Airport Food in the Nation

Anyone who’s been to Denver International Airport probably already knows this, but now they have an award from Reward Expert to prove it, DIA was recently voted the best airport food in the nation!

If you’re wondering why, here are a few of the reasons:

Root Down-

If you’re from Denver, odds are you’ve heard some buzz about Root Down, it seems that people can’t stop talking about it. Root Down serves American food, breakfast, gluten-free options, healthy choices, vegetarian meals, full bar, and offers table service. The prices range from about $10-$20. You can find Root Down in the C concourse of DIA, near the center core. They are open daily from 7 AM to 9 PM.

The award-winning, nationally acclaimed Root Down restaurant offers a globally influenced seasonal cuisine with a locally-sourced, field-to-fork mentality. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner entree items, including select raw foods, sandwiches, appetizers, soups, salads and desserts, as well as a wide selection of cocktails, wine, beer, sake and spirits. Root Down DIA

Cru Food and Wine bar- Serving American food with table service, wine and beer. The food here ranges from about $10-$20, and it’s Yelp reviews make it clear that it’s worth every penny. You can find Cru Food and Wine bar in the B concourse of DIA, near gate B51. They offer service from 6 AM to 10 PM daily.

Featuring a broad and ever-changing wine selection available by the bottle, in tasting flights or by the glass. The food menu includes shared appetizers, individual sized gourmet pizzas, domestic cheeses, panini sandwiches and desserts that pair with wine. –Source

You might think the words “wine” and “snob” are redundant. Like “cold” and “snow” or “sweet” and “candy”.  And you’d be right — except if you came to CRÚ. You’ll find no little pinkies extended, no noses in the air. We prefer you gently bring them to the edge of the glass and allow the aroma to prepare you for a new, fun experience in the enjoyment of wine. –CRU

Tapas Sky Bar- This place offers a very clean, fresh feel; American food, wine and beer. The prices range from $10-$20. You can find Tapas Sky Bar in the C concourse of DIA near gate C24, they are open from 7 AM to 11 PM daily.

Tapas Sky Bar has 16 wine choices, specialty cocktails and 12 Colorado craft beers.  A light-fare menu including cheese board, caprese salad, bar snacks and unique offerings are available. –Source
