Canning classes in Denver

If you are looking for canning classes in Denver, there is an exciting opportunity the Denver Botanic Gardens is holding classes at their beautiful Chatfield Farms location just south of C470 & Wadsworth.  This location is a more rural, natural setting for some of their wonderful classes that can take place outdoors or in their newly added outdoor kitchen.  It truly is a perfect location to hold several hands-on classes like their Introduction to Water Bath Canning.

This Saturday, September 26th from 9am-12pm you can join instructor Kathy Lee as she teaches in the outdoor kitchen with the foothills as a background; just a stone’s throw from the historical Hildebrand Ranch house and the resident chickens and goats.  Find more information below and on the Botanic Gardens website. Thank you!

Classes & Lectures – Chatfield Classes | Adults

Interested in learning how to use all those copious amounts of cucumbers, hot peppers, and tomatoes? Join us in our beautiful outdoor kitchen for a hands-on simple instructional on how to preserve all your seasonal garden delights with water bath canning.

Each class will be 3 hours long so everyone has a chance to do, see and taste. All participants will take a home a gourmet jar of veggies to enjoy at home. Please note this class is geared towards a beginning audience. Advanced techniques and pressure canning will not be discussed.

$42 member, $45 nonmember
